Advanced-EMT is the next step up from EMT-Basic.  In this class you will add to your knowledge that you obtained in EMT school.  You will learn how to start IV's and learn about different medications you will be able to administer.  The class is 180 hours, and is covered in a little over 4 months.  You are required to have 96 hours of rotations with various categories of contacts that have to be obtained.  Once the course is complete you will be able to take the National Registry tests for licensure.  Click here for more information about the AEMT National Registry information.   Class information listed below.

AEMT Class Information

Requirements:

  • EMT License or have passed National Registry EMT

  • Be able to pass a drug test and background check

  • Be able to lift 125 lb on a stretcher alone or 250 lb assisted on a stretcher

  • Willingness to learn

Application process:

This is how the course will be taught:

  • Every Monday chapter assignments and lecture recordings will be posted.

  • All work will be due Sunday night.

  • 75% overall grade will be needed to pass the class

  • You will be required to travel to class 3 times during the course of the class

  • Tuition is $1250

  • Payment Plan fee is $50
